The Dead Sea History!

The Dead Sea

Dead Sea, located in the south of the Jordan Valley, the salty closed sea 400 meters below sea level is the lowest spot on Earth. The scenery on the shores of the sea in enchanting.
The Dead Sea is famous for its exceptional salt and mineral content, which many people say makes it a natural healing agent for skin problems. To ORDER The Dead Sea Products Click HERE. Or visit http://www.giftsfromtheholyland.com . Or call TOLL FREE 1-888-336-3275. People from around the world have been visiting the Dead Sea for many years for curative treatments and to enjoy its relaxing waters.

5.000 Years of History

King David, King Herod, Jesus, and John Baptist were closely linked with the Dead Sea and its surroundings. The prophecies knew it through the infamous Sodom and Gomorra. During the Egyptian contract it said that Queen Cleopatra obtained exclusive rights to build cosmetic and pharmaceutical factories in the area. Later on, the wily Nabateans discovered the value of bitumen extracted from the Dead Sea and needed by the Egyptians for embalming their mummies. Aristotle wrote about the remarkable waters. In Roman times the Essenes settled in Qumran on the Dead Sea northern shore as a place of refugee and on the heights of Masada a small group of rebellious Jewish zealots held out against the might of the Roman Legion. The remoteness of the region attracted Greek Orthodox monks since the Byzantine era. Their monasteries such as Saint George in Wadi Kelt and Mar Saba in the Judean Desert are places of pilgrimage. Bedouin tribes have continuously lived in the area and more recently explorers and scientists arrived to analyze the minerals and conduct research into the unique climate. Since the 1960's, tourists from all the world have also explored the Dead Sea region.

The Lowest Point on Earth

Situated on the heart of the Great Syrian-African rift valley that stretches through Israel and beyond, the Dead Sea is the lowest point on the earth (400 meters or 1,320 feet below sea level), and is flanked by the Judean Mountains on the west , the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the Mountains of Moab on the east, the Jordan Valley and Sea of Galilee to the north and the Negev Desert as well as the Red Sea to the south.

The Dead Sea Water

The water of the Dead Sea contains 21 minerals including magnesium, calcium, bromine and potassium. 12 of these are found in no other area or ocean and some are recognized for importing a relaxed feeling, nourishing the skin, activating the circulatory systems and for easing rheumatic discomfort and metabolic disorders. As an example, the Dead Sea contains 10 times more salts and minerals than the Mediterranean Sea. The high salt and mineral concentration enables everyone to float in its waters but does not allow the proliferation of fish and other marine life.

Thermo-mineral Springs

Found in several locations along the Dead Sea shores. The many minerals contained in the warm water are dominated by sulfur. Soaking in the heated sulfur pools activates the circulatory system and increases the oxygen supply to the body.

Natural mineral spring water

Flows from the Judean Hills into the lower areas fronting the Dead Sea. When hiking along the area's "wadis" (seasonal dry river beds) and oasis, one can often splash in waterfalls and cool streams. Natural mineral spring water is bottled and locally marketed throughout the country.

The Sun

The Dead Sea is the only place on earth where one can sunbathe for extended periods with little or no sunburn because harmful ultraviolet rays are filtered through three natural layers: an extra atmospheric layer, an evaporation layer that exists above the Dead Sea and a rather thick ozone layer.

The Air
The region's miraculous air is dry, unpolluted and pollen-free with low humidity. Due to the constant evaporation, the air contains high concentrations of several minerals, mainly bromine, providing a truly relaxing effect.

Because of the high barometric pressure it has approximately 8% more oxygen than anywhere else on earth and inevitably makes breathing easier.

Black Mud

A signature element of the Dead Sea, black mud is homogeneous mixture of Dead Sea minerals, important organic elements from the shoreline as well as earth. Indulging in a black mud body wrap has both cosmetic and therapeutic benefits – known to cleanse and stimulate the skin, relieve muscle and emotional tensions, improve blood circulation, and ease rheumatic pain. The rich minerals and the mud tightening action promote circulation by increasing the supply of oxygen to and removing the toxins from the skin, thus toning and firming up skin tissues, leaves the skin glowing and youthful looking. Dead Sea Mineral Mud cleans, purifies, and restores the skin's natural minerals.

The Salt

As the name suggests, the Dead Sea is devoid of life due to an extremely high content of salts and minerals. It is these natural elements whichave the water its curative powers. Dead Sea Salt and Dead Sea Mud have been recognized by millions of people as a single source of health and beauty since the days of Herod the Great, more than 2,000 years ago. The Dead Sea has a 33% concentration of salts and minerals (compared to only 3% in the ocean). Dead Sea Salt original mineral composition improves cell metabolism and contributions to its restoration and regeneration. Dead Sea Salt also acts as a disinfectant and help in removing harmful substances from the skin.

What Is So Great About a Digital SLR Camera?

A lot of people may think they know what a digital SLR camera is. However, what many of them might be thinking of is a compact digital camera, which is not the same thing. Before selecting a good SLR camera, you should probably know just what one is.

SLR is short for Single Lens Reflex. Here’s what makes this camera so much different from its compact cousins:

When you view through the viewfinder, you are seeing straight through the camera lens. You are viewing precisely what the lens is viewing.

The lens on a digital SLR camera can be swapped out. This is what makes these cameras the choice for serious hobbyists and professionals. You have so much more shot flexibility with an SLR.

A digital SLR has a better and bigger image sensor. You get much better quality pictures.

A good SLR has almost zero delay between the time you push the button and the camera takes the picture.

The biggest advantage of this type of camera is that it is very versatile. Whatever kind of pictures you want to take, you can do it with your SLR and a few lens and accessories.

Another big advantage of these cameras over compacts is that a digital SLR camera can get great photos without a lot of light. And you can do this without the flash. You do this by adjusting the ISO – you make the digital sensor in the camera more light sensitive. When you do this with an SLR, you do not get a lot of graininess or ‘noise’ in your image, either.

Two Good SLRs to Consider

The Nikon D3100 is a good example of an ‘entry level’ digital SLR camera. However, it has a broad feature set:

  • Full recording in HD
  • A screen of 3 inches
  • Megapixel sensor of 14.2
  • 11 focusing points
  • Vibration reduction lens, 18-55mm

The general verdict on this SLR is that it is a fine value for your dollar. It also is the least expensive SLR that has full HD video recording. If you are looking for the ability to shoot excellent pictures with little noise, and also record HD, the D3100 from Nikon is a fine choice. It has many features and options, ease of control, and outstanding quality images with great detail. Bottom line is it is a highly recommended camera for pictures and HD video for the serious hobbyist.

The Canon EOS Rebel T3i is another strong competitor that has fine video abilities, along with great picture taking. The image quality and the picture shooting ability are excellent; however, it is not a very fast camera for action photos. The burst shooting feature for taking pictures of sports or children moving quickly is not quite as good as the Nikon.

However, the T3i is still a good choice for the hobbyist or SLR videographer. The camera shoots photos with little noise. The JPEGs are extremely clean until ISO 400. At ISO 800, you really have to look for the noise, and even at ISO 1600 the noise is still acceptable.

You can use a reverse cell phone number service to protect your family by keeping them safe from prank phone calls. Prank phone calls are one of the number one reasons that families of four call the police during the middle of the night. This is usually because other children think it is funny to call your kids at night and wake them up. However this can be very emotionally draining for you, as a parent, because you have no idea who's calling. Also, your children can be mentally bothered by this because they can be teased by classmates and their peers.

When your kids are teased by their classmates and peers, sometimes they do not want to tell you that it is happening. Why do they do that? They do that because they are embarrassed that you will think that they are not "cool". You can stop this whole process from occurring by simply using a reverse cell phone number service and by getting a yearly subscription. This way you will be able to protect your family from emotional distress.

Another way the prank phone calls can affect your family, is by causing you to lose sleep. If you lose sleep you will not be able to function in a normal way. How to Act on a Professional Conference Call

A professional conference call should be the litmus test for all conference calls. When would a person not want to appear professional with their employers or prospective employers? No matter your situation with the other people on the phone, we can assist you with appearing professional and keep you from committing career suicide.

The first lesson is to test out your new headset before trying to do a conference call. There is nothing more annoying than a person breathing heavily into the microphone, sounding as though they are stalking all the other callers. A professional conference call should attempt to be courteous, respectful, and informative. If you drop your headset and everyone hears the clattering then it is disrespectful and makes you look like a fool. Test out the headgear, make sure you sound clear through the phone, and learn all the other buttons on the headset.

This brings us to our other point, many conference callers try to multi-task while on the conference call. A professional conference call should be done with attention and poise, making you ready to leap with a response or suggestion. Digging around under your desk for the pen you lost last week can not only distract you from the conversation but could cause you to miss a valuable opportunity. A professional conference call should give you a good idea of your communication skills. However, if you are talking to the sandwich delivery guy, thinking you have the headset on mute, then others will know how much or how little you paid for lunch. Be sure you know what is mute and what is not.

If you use a speaker phone for a professional conference call, know that others can hear even the littlest of sounds. The tapping of a loud keyboard can resound to the ears of your project manager and cause annoyance. Be sure to have a pad of paper and pen to take notes. Also, be sure to turn your cell phone to vibrate. You do not want the latest ring tone bellowing out for the rest of the conference call to hear. By being professional, you think about the little things that would annoy you on the other end of a phone, and make sure you do not do those things.

A professional conference call propels your image to others on the call, causing them to see you in a different light. We only have our voices and our behavior on calls such as this, so we want to accentuate our wise ideas and take away from any annoying practices or circumstances. For this reason, we practice with our new headset, understand its functionality, and know what we are doing when on a speaker phone. With these simple precautions, a professional conference call will cast you in a positive light.

Protecting Your Mobile From a Cell Phone Virus

A Cell Phone Virus? Is it really possible? Yes, it is. Think of your cell phone in the same terms as you think of your computer. If your cell phone has the Internet on it and can browse the web and open email attachments and sync with your Outlook and on and on, it really is not much different is it? While it is not often 'publicized' it is definitely more on the rise as more everyday consumers are starting to migrate into the smartphone and PDA marketplace.

It was in the latter part of 2004 when the first cell phone virus was discovered named: "Cabir". It got into a few Bluetooth handhelds, which at that time were definitely not as popular nor as common as they are today, so needless to say it was not wide spread news because it did not pose a great public risk. As time passed, the phones that seemed to be affected most were phones that had what they called the Symbian Operating Software system. Every cell phone like every computer essentially has an Operating System, same as if you have Windows on your PC or Mac OS X on your Mac. A lot of Nokia phones use the Symbian OS and so this is why a greater percentage of their handhelds were previously to cell phone virus attacks, but remember, 'larger percentage' is relative as the number of viruses is still quite small in relationship to the billions of them out there on the market.

So exactly how does one get a cell phone virus?

1. Much like the same as you get a virus on your computer, from opening 'no-no' and unknown email attachments and .MS files that you do not recognize.

2. Looking at too much porn, lol. But seriously this happens as well.

3. Leaving Bluetooth setting open and "discoverable". I know in certain countries where it is forbidden for men and women to speak and congregate and flirt in public places, they keep the Bluetooth setting open if they want to be 'discovered' so they can chat, but for the rest of the world, zip it, lock it and throw the key out the window, ok? Keeping your bluetooth setting discoverable, keeps your phone discoverable and susceptible to cell phone viruses, unwanted virtual dialgoue and cyber garbage in general.

4. Where the Vertical Axis Meet: Generation X and Y, cell phone crazy over the top, out of control with your downloading every f.ree game, ringtone, wallpaper, theme that you get from public sites and file sharing. No, no, no, that is a cell phone virus waiting to happen. Use respected and trusted sites. I prefer to use CNET when I am downloading most software.

Cell Phone Virus Symptoms

Like your computer, it totally wigs out to say the least. If you definitely did not drop it in water or do something crazy and you fall into one of the categories above, you could be at risk. There are no common symptons, but sometimes you may experience problems such as the battery will not recharge or constantly drains, a certain menu options keeps blinking and does not allow you to scroll to other menu options or another screen. Of course these problems can also come with age, other long term recurrence abuse and physical damage it could have received, lol, and isolated problems with the phone software in general.

What to Do if I have Problems?

Without hesitation, I would advise you seek professional help:) but in regards to your phone, I would recommend the following:

1. Make sure you always have a copy of your phone book, emails, addresses etc. backed up on your computer or elsewhere. You know if you get a virus you are going to lose everything. Even if you think you are never going to get a virus, you should ALWAYS have a back up your information anyway.

2. When in doubt take the battery out. Attempt to do a soft reset by removing the battery in your cell phone and keeping it out for approximately one minute. Replace the battery, power it on and see if it works.

3. If it does not … you're pretty much screwed … only kidding. Call customer care and ask for warranty exchange . Tell them you THINK you are having 'software related issues' or tell them what your phone is doing or not doing (do not tell them your mobile have contacted a deadly cell phone virus). Listen to their suggestions and see if any of them will work.

4. When you receive the replacement phone, download anti virus software for your cell phone. The larger companies such as Symantec are now offering these as f.ree downloads (as of this writing).

5. Use common sense. Hopefully you have a little bit of that 🙂

How to Look at His Cell Phone Bill If You Suspect Him of Cheating Or Having an Affair

It’s only logical to look to your husband or boyfriend’s cell phone when you suspect him of cheating. After all, he probably keeps this device with him at all times and he probably thinks he can easily hide or keep it from you.  But, there is a record of all activity on his cell phone bill and I get a lot of questions about how to get a hold of this and what the bill will tell you (or won’t.)  I’ll address these things in the following article.

The Paper Trail:  If your husband or boyfriend keeps paper records, you’ll likely find this bill among these items.  This is usually the easiest way because no password is required.  What you’ll usually get here is a list of phone calls, texts, picture messages, web activity, etc. with a list of dates and times.  But, often you won’t get what the texts or calls said or which sites were visited.  And, you’ll only get the number.  It won’t tell you who the number belongs to.  It will, however, tell you the length of each call.  Obviously if you see long conversations with a number that you don’t recognize, you’ll want to take notice.

Many people will be tempted to just call the number to try to figure out who it belongs to.  But, I feel this is a mistake. What if it’s a client, innocent friend of coworker? How embarrassed will you be and how will you explain this when you are caught?  The better option is to run the number through a reverse phone directory, find out who it belongs to, and then if it’s someone you don’t know, go by that residence when your man is suspiciously absent to see if he’s there.  You don’t want to accuse until you have proof.  The other option is to get spy ware or software that will allow you to read the context of the text messages so you don’t have to literally follow him around if you don’t want to.

Getting His Cell Phone Bill (And Potential Proof Of Cheating) Online: Almost all cell phone companies allow you to pull up your account online.  This will give you the same information that the paper bill did.  However, you’ll need his password to access this.  Again, you’ll only be given the number, whether it was voice or sms, the time of the call, and the amount of time the call lasted.  This only gives you a limited amount of knowledge, but it’s a place to start.

The Call Log: Getting Your Hands On The Phone:  Of course, optimally you’ll want to literally get your hands on the phone.  That way, you can run the call log and check out the in box and outbox for texts and calls.  Often though, men aren’t stupid and they’ll delete this. The spy ware that I talked about before can often get these back.  Again, you’re looking for repetitive suspicious activity that you can use to reverse look up who that number belongs to and go from there.

Many women will tell me that they can’t get a hold of the phone.  The husband won’t set it down or guards it like a hawk.  My response is always that he has to shower or sleep eventually.  He’ll put it down then.  Or, allow the battery to almost die on your own phone so that when you go to use yours, whoops you have no working phone.  Can you borrow his?  While you’re using his phone, excuse yourself for an emergency bathroom visit (continue talking to your trusted friend and stay on the call until he can’t hear you and then disconnect and do what you need to do) or come up with a plausible explanation to excuse yourself and check out the phone in private.

Motorola Unveils A Cell Phone Triple Play

Already known for setting a high benchmark in terms of cell phone style and functionality, Motorola appears to be upping the ante even further this summer. Motorola has unveiled three new devices, each with its own particular focus, for release later this year: the style-minded RAZR2, the message-centric MOTO Q 9, and the Motorola Z8, geared towards mobile entertainment and multimedia. Here’s a closer look at these three new Motorola cell phones.

The RAZR2

Like its predecessor the RAZR, The RAZR2’s main selling point is style, and lots of it. Measuring in at two millimeters thinner than the already iconically thin RAZR, the RAZR2 also promises increased durability and aesthetic appeal with the addition of stainless-steel materials, a soft-touch back, and the glossy finish the RAZR is generally famous for.

To complement its sleek new look, the RAZR2 also aims for an improved user experience. The RAZR2 sports a host of new features, including a revamped user interface for easier contact searching, a huge external display (2″ external, 2.2″ internal), real-time point-to-point video that allows other wireless customers to “See What I See,” and the ability to quickly send pre-programmed messages with the cell phone closed. The RAZR2’s impressive multimedia features include Windows Media Player 11, integrated Bluetooth, and a 2.0 megapixel camera with an auto-snap feature for taking up to eight pictures at one time and choosing the best of the lot.

With all these features in a sleek, glossy RAZR package, the RAZR2 looks to be the new show-off cell phone for the summer. The RAZR2 is expected to roll out in July.

The MOTO Q 9: Unbeatable Smartphone Messaging

Where the RAZR2 focuses mostly on chic, Motorola’s new MOTO Q 9 concentrates on powerful messaging and communications features, with an eye towards mobile enterprise as well as the casual cell phone user. Although it’s expressly built for superior communications, the MOTO Q 9 smartphone is nonetheless still stylish, with a slim profile and instantly recognizable Motorola design.

Like the RAZR2, the MOTO Q 9 seeks to improve on the user interface of previous smartphones, featuring a built-in QWERTY keyboard designed for optimum messaging speed. The MOTO Q 9 can handle up to eight different messaging and email inboxes (including Hotmail, AOL, Gmail, Yahoo or third-party POP email), as well as SMS and MMS messages, Web applications, and a variety of enterprise software applications. Like the other cell phones in Motorola’s summer lineup, the MOTO 9 Q also promises better call clarity with Motorola’s CrystalTalk technology, ensuring that the MOTO 9 Q’s other features don’t eclipse its usefulness as a cell phone.

While its main focus lies in powerful communications features, the MOTO Q 9 still has plenty to offer in terms of multimedia. The MOTO Q 9 features a 2.0 megapixel camera with 15 FPS video capture, built-in Bluetooth, and 256 MB of onboard memory (expandable to 2 GB), making it an incredibly full-featured smartphone. Another attractive new feature is Motorola’s “adaptive display technology,” a series of light sensors on the smartphone which adjust the MOTO Q 9’s screen and keyboard brightness depending on ambient light levels, increasing readability and saving battery life.

The MOTO Q 9 is expected to be out in European markets anytime now, and should be available Stateside in the coming months.

The MOTO Z8: Mobile Gaming on the Go

In sharp contrast to the business-minded MOTO Q 9, Motorola’s flashy MOTO Z8 aims to tap into the ever-expanding mobile entertainment market with an impressive suite of multimedia, gaming, and video features. The MOTO Z8 is simply packed with multimedia, with a bigger entertainment package than any other smartphone currently on the market.

Described as a “media monster,” the MOTO Z8 is expressly built for entertainment, with a unique “kick-slider” design and an impressive color display that presents video in either portrait or landscape mode. The MOTO Z8 also sports ultra-fast 3.6 Mbps music downloads and a whopping 32 GB of optional expanded memory — enough to hold twelve full-length movies or seventy hours of music. To show off the entertainment horsepower of the MOTO Z8, Motorola will ship the smartphone with a full-length feature film (The Bourne Identity) already preloaded, along with a ROKR S9 stereo Bluetooth 11 headset.

In addition to the other standard smartphone features (Bluetooth, media player, digital camera), the MOTO Z8 will also incorporate mobile TV access from CNN, BSkyB, and Podcast.com. The MOTO Z8 will also ship with a mobile demo copy of EA’s SSX3, with the promise for more high-powered gaming to come by the time the Z8 is available in the States.

The MOTO Z8 will be out in Europe and Asia this coming June.
